2. What is an affiliate program?

An affiliate program is where you collaborate with other creators to promote your products in exchange for a commission. This means that by joining your program, people can earn a percentage of each sale they bring.

Building an affiliate program is a powerful way to market your products and scale your business online because you expand your reach on the market by having other people promoting the products for you. Besides that, you can help other creators make an extra income.

4. Which platform should I use?

To create your affiliate program, you have unlimited options. You have platforms like Lemonsqueezy, Gumroad, ConvertKit and much more. All of these platforms are great options and your choice will depend on the nature of your products & brand.

The platform I use for mine affiliate program is Lemonsqueezy. I use Lemonsqueezy because my products are Framer templates and both platforms are connected and related to each other so that makes the process easier.

5. How to create your affiliate program with Lemonsqueezy

The first step is to create your Lemonsqueezy account. It's very easy and simple to do. If you already have an account there, you can jump to the next step.

Now that you have your account created, is time to set up the store for your products. To do that you need to fill some basic information like naming your store, add your personal information and business details.

Reminder: if you are new to Lemonsqueezy, remember that may take 1 or 2 days to review your store details.

After having your store checked and approved, is time to create the affiliate program. On the Lemonsqueezy dashboard, go to the navigation bar on the side and search for Settings >> Affiliates.

You will see the ''program settings'' on your screen and now you can activate the affiliate program by clicking on the toggle button that says ''Enable affiliate program and affiliate hub profile''.

By activating this, you can fill the details of your program like affiliate category, description, referral url and commissions. The final step is click on save changes and that is it! your affiliate program is being set!

6. Promoting your program

Now is time to start attracting new creators to your program. The best way to do this is by leveraging social media and your personal brand. Start by posting content on X, Youtube, LinkedIn and other platforms to build your affiliate ecosystem.

Share with your following how you can help them earning money by promoting your products and remind them that the more they promote the products, the more they can earn.
